BASQUE LIVING LONDON DISCUSSION PANEL
Incorporating Wellbeing:
Current trends in hospitality and interior design.
June 15th 2023
I was delighted to be invited to be part of the panel discussion alongside renowned speakers Willow Hesse from Hesse Macken Studio and Sarah Fox from Fox Interior Design, and Nick Sunderland from NS Interiors, we delved into the fascinating world of hospitality and interior design, focusing on the growing importance of incorporating wellbeing principles into these industries. The event took place on the 15th of June at 5.30pm and was hosted by Alys Bryan, Editor of Design Insider magazine, it delivered on its promise to be an insightful and thought-provoking after work session. From biophilic design and sustainable materials to mindfulness elements and feng shui, we explored the cutting-edge trends shaping the industry. NSI were invited on to the discussion panel because of their expertise in Classical Feng Shui which adds a unique East-West style to his designs. Studying for over 30 years it’s a natural addition to all of our designs. I hope you were able to make it and the conversation inspired you to find new ways to incorporate wellbeing into your own design. If not please view the enclosed recording and if you have any questions please get in touch.
INDEPENDENT HOTEL SHOW 2022
I was delighted to be invited back to the IHS on October 4th to discuss my Design in 2018 compared to the new approach on Sustainability in 2022. At the time I focused on Technology but only on what was available to use at the time, not far in the future. We incorporated sustainability as we always do but not a focus as this year’s show was all about. It was a please to catch up with Hamish, and a pleasure to meet Peter Turner for the first time. I hope you enjoy the video.

The Inclusive Hotel Room- meet the designers behind our sustainable initiative
Back in 2018 we invited designer Nicholas Sunderland to conceptualise "Hotel Room of the Future" to showcase at this very event- and now, four years later, we have revisited this idea with a new design partner, Cocoon and Bauer. Join this panel as our designers reflect on our events key theme: the sustainability of the industry and discuss where they see the future of conscious
design going.
