THE VIP SUITE
In 2019 after our Highly Commended design of the Hotel Room of The future in 2018 we were again approached to design the VIP suite, and in collaboration we approached a number of companies to work with us who contributed some amazing products and unique bespoke designs.
With the cooperation of Nature Squared and Alroys I designed a range of tables made from recycled Guinea Fowl and Pheasant Feathers with bespoke metal legs from a unique design by Alroys. These tables were a first in the UK and we were proud of the result we achieved.
By hand laying the feathers into a specific resin the patterns and colours of the feathers were eye catching and encouraged people to touch. This was a design first for NSI.
Nature Squared is an ethical design brand founded in 2000 by Paul Hoeve and Lay Koon Tan with a mission to create truly innovative sustainable surfaces for architects, designers and consumers using abundant natural materials such as eggshell, seeds, bark and feathers.
A leader in design innovation, Nature Squared combines traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology to capture the beauty of materials that are not endangered, protected or threatened, sourcing predominantly from industries such as farming and fishing, transforming what would normally be considered waste.
BESPOKE FURNITURE
Robert Langford displayed a range of classically beautiful chairs across the suite in bespoke fabrics and linked all colours across the range of tables and lights.
The Bar front in Mother of Pearl, was a world first presentation. Northern Lights produced a range of bespoke lights for us and the centrepiece was a 4.5 meter pergola with hand blown glass lamps, award winning we feel.
As a Residential and Commercial Interior Designer we work to a variety of briefs, all cost conscious and time sensitive. Interior Design of your home could also be a Boutique Hotel.
